The trips are based on the school lectures for the age of 11 to 15 and are customized through a “Child-friendly” program.
GEOGRAPHY, HISTORY, AND ART IN BAY OF KOTOR FROM 16. TO 18. CENTURY
Discover the life on the border between the Venice Republic and the Ottoman Empire between the 16th to 18th centuries. What were the main historical events? What was the influence on the development of culture and artistic expression of artists from this area? How important was the geographic location for trade between the Bay of Kotor and Montenegro?
For the wider region of the Bay of Kotor, this period was very fruitful for works of fine art, poets, sailors, and diplomats.
The excursion lasts for five hours (three lectures with three hours of sailing) and can be performed from Herceg Novi, Kotor, or Tivat.
Ecology of the Bay of Kotor
Learn why a multidisciplinary approach is essential for environmental protection: What are the major geographical features, and how do they interact with the marine life of the bay? How important are sea currents, rain creeks, swamps, and freshwater springs? How specific biocenosis was formed around them? We will summarize the importance and specificities of the local environment in ecosystems.
We will speak about the major concern on the impact of chemical pollution by polymer compounds (plastics), oil and oil derivatives on the environment. During the trip, we will spot the marine ecosystems and biodiversity. The excursion lasts for five hours (six lectures). Starting points are the towns of the Bay of Kotor.
The educational excursions were primarily shaped as a support program for the seventh and ninth-grade students of primary education in Montenegro. Further, the program was adapted for families with school children. The idea is to get to know with specificities of the Bay of Kotor through interactivity, interesting stories, and interwoven tales of different sciences and arts.

Ecology
Biocenosis of the Bay of Kotor is complex. Sea-life and life on land are in constant correlation and depend one on another.
Waste and pollution from settlements around the Bay enter the ecosystems. Fish and molluscs often found on our menu ingest them.
Sailing
The basics of sailboat control: Navigation and map reading. Introduction to old and modern navigation devices.
You will grab the rudder and feel how the boat maneuver.
